Caring for hand-painted ceramics

Our pieces are fired hard and glazed on every surface, so they are tougher than they look. A few habits keep them like new for decades.

Washing

Wash by hand with warm water and a mild soap. Avoid dishwashers: strong detergents and sudden heat can dull the glaze over time.

Hanging and storing

Hang plates with a spring hanger rather than a glued one. When stacking, put a sheet of paper or felt between plates.
